Past work

I began carving in 2014 and first entered the British Championships in the same year.  There are three levels. Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. I first entered at Novice level. I recall my first three pieces as being Little Owl, Dartford Warbler and Common Redpoll. I took silver rosettes for all three carvings, which was encouraging. The British Championships have several styles of bird carving on show including working decoys and interpretive. I only compete in decorative life size and miniatures. Within decorative life size there are then four categories. Songbirds, shorebirds and sea birds, birds of prey and game birds. On these pages I will post photographs of any past carvings I have photographs of and if possible a brief summary of  how it placed.
